It comes as no surprise that the medicinal pot law is being flouted for fun and profit, but it is interesting that he is also charged with manufacturing within 1000 feet of a school. If he was not dealing, wouldn’t his medical card run afoul of that law in the first place?

SALEM, Ore. – Salem Police arrested a medical marijuana grower Thursday morning for illegally selling marijuana.
Thomas Cole, 45, is an Oregon Medical Marijuana Program grower for two patients. He was also the focus of a drug investigation that lasted several weeks.
During the course of the weeks-long investigation, detectives found evidence that Cole had sold several ounces of marijuana to non-patients.
A search warrant at Cole’s Salem house on SE Cherry Ct. uncovered 11 marijuana plants ranging from 2-feet to 5-feet tall, and more than 5-pounds of marijuana that had a street value of at least $22,500.
Cole was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful delivery of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school and unlawful manufacturing of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.
