Oregon AG John Kroger “The science is clear”

Kroger made this proclamation while announcing that Oregon supports the EPA in declaring that plant food is a dangerous pollutant.

What is clear in this power grab by the Fed and the simultanious move by seven western states to “save the planet” by controlling C02 will only destroy jobs, vastly escalate home energy costs, and make a few, Like Al Gore and Dr Pachauri, fabulously wealthy. All for an unproved theory based on flawed computer models and bad science that has many prominent detractors.

From the Portland Business Journal:
“Global climate change harms public health, and the EPA is taking the right approach by focusing on the big sources of pollution.” Said the Attorney General while announcing that Oregon has joined 12 other states in support of a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency decision to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from large industrial sources.
The EPA last year began requiring permits for large industrial sources of greenhouse gas emissions. In response, a group backed by oil, steel and chemical industries filed a lawsuit challenging the EPA’s authority to regulate carbon emissions under the U.S. Clean Air Act.

And in related news from KATU.com the Western Climate Initiative offers cap-and-trade.

A coalition of seven western states and three Canadian provinces on Tuesday offered its most detailed strategy yet for controlling greenhouse gas emissions blamed for climate change, saying they hope it will stand as a model for national systems in the United States and Canada.
At the core of the Western Climate Initiative is a cap-and-trade system that would go into effect in January 2012, gradually ramping down emissions levels. The system, which gives financial incentives to reduce carbon emissions, would start with power plants, then extend to large industrial producers and transportation.
The goal is to cut greenhouse gas emissions in the next 10 years to levels 15 percent below those in the year 2005.

It does get tiring to be continually told by non-scientists such as Kroger and the Crazed Sex Poodle that “the science is clear” when they wouldn’t know a scientific fact if it bit them on the butt with all thirty-two teeth.
